SILIGURI: Home Minister Amit Shah is set to speak at a public rally in Uttora Township, near Bagdogra, on Saturday. In preparation for this high-profile event, BJP leaders, including Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, visited the rally site on Wednesday to assess the arrangements for the Union Home Minister’s visit.
Over 6,000 BJP leaders from five districts in North Bengal have been invited to attend the rally, which aims to energize party members ahead of upcoming elections. This gathering is seen as crucial for the BJP as Amit Shah will motivate supporters and outline important election strategies.
Raju Bista noted that invitations have been dispatched across North Bengal, with representatives expected from Shakti Kendras, booths, mandals, district units, and various state-level groups. “The Home Minister’s visit always inspires party leaders and the public as elections approach, significantly boosting morale. His statements are taken seriously, and his promises are seen as vital due to his track record of fulfilling them,” said Bista.
