Emergency Bomb Scare Forces IndiGo Flight to Land in Lucknow: Shocking New Visuals Unveiled!
Panic ensued on Sunday when a bomb threat was reported on IndiGo Airlines flight 6E-6650, which was traveling from Delhi to Bagdogra. The plane, carrying 238 individuals, including passengers and crew, made an emergency landing in Lucknow after authorities received alarming information.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rajneesh Verma confirmed that the threat stemmed from a handwritten note discovered on a piece of tissue in the aircraft’s restroom. The note suggested the presence of a bomb on board, prompting immediate action from security personnel at the airport. “A message was found written on a tissue paper in the toilet of the flight, stating that there was a bomb on board,” ACP Verma reported.
The IndiGo flight made a safe landing at Lucknow Airport around 9:17 AM, just moments after Air Traffic Control (ATC) alerted officials about the bomb threat at approximately 8:46 AM. Upon landing, the aircraft was swiftly surrounded by security forces and moved to an isolation bay where thorough inspections commenced. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and a bomb disposal squad initiated a detailed investigation.
All passengers were evacuated and extensively screened as part of ongoing safety protocols, ensuring that no threats remained. The careful coordination among security teams emphasized the seriousness with which such threats are addressed. The aircraft was carrying 230 passengers, comprising 222 adults and 8 infants, along with 2 pilots and 5 crew members.
Authorities are maintaining vigilance as they continue to collect information surrounding the incident. This event follows a similar occurrence last Christmas, when a bomb threat was received via email concerning a Flynas flight at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. In that incident, standard security measures were promptly implemented, and the flight landed safely without incident.
As investigations proceed, officials are urging calm while reinforcing the importance of stringent airport security protocols designed to protect passengers and crew alike. The announcement of this situation has prompted heightened awareness regarding aviation safety, serving as a reminder of the constant vigilance required in today’s travel environment.
Further updates regarding the investigation and the safety of the passengers are expected as authorities work diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding this unsettling episode.
