Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of making criminal threats after allegedly assaulting a ride-hail driver. The incident occurred just after midnight at an intersection in Hollywood Hills, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of the assault, and upon investigation, they concluded that Sutherland had entered the ride-hail vehicle, physically attacked the driver, and issued criminal threats.
Fortunately, the driver did not require medical attention. Sutherland was taken into custody and subsequently released a few hours later on a bond set at $50,000. Court records indicate that he is scheduled to appear in court on February 2.
