Valuations are not high enough at this level. We don’t see the frothiness that we saw back then,” referring to the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s. Harvey emphasized that unlike the internet boom, financial stocks have been the primary drivers of recent market gains, as investors shift focus toward cyclical sectors.
Furthermore, Harvey pointed out that JPMorgan Chase has outperformed many tech stocks over the past three to five years, showcasing the strength of financials in the current landscape. The upcoming trading schedule also reflects the holiday season, with the NYSE closing early at 1 p.m. ET on Christmas Eve and remaining closed on Christmas Day.
