Renowned director Rob Reiner, known for popular films such as “When Harry Met Sally,” has tragically died alongside his wife, Michelle Singing Reiner. Their bodies were discovered in an abandoned home in Brentwood, California, showing signs of violent injuries.
According to police sources, both Rob and Michelle sustained several suspicious wounds, reportedly from a stabbing. Initial conclusions suggest that the celebrated Hollywood director and his wife were victims of an unknown assailant.
Authorities arrived at the couple’s residence after receiving a call early on Sunday morning from their daughter, Romy, who first found their bodies. The police were alerted shortly after 3:30 PM local time on December 14.
A spokesperson for the Reiner family confirmed the deaths later that evening, and the Los Angeles police have initiated an investigation into the incident, which has cast a shadow of grief over Hollywood.
LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton indicated that no suspects have yet been identified in connection with the couple’s murders.
