US President Donald Trump sharply criticized ABC News reporter Mary Bruce on Tuesday after she inquired about his reluctance to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein directly, rather than waiting for Congress to intervene. In a heated exchange, Trump labeled Bruce’s question “terrible” and described her as a “terrible reporter” and a “terrible person,” as reported by the BBC.
During the Oval Office meeting, where he also engaged with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Trump reiterated that he had no ties to Epstein. “I threw him out of my club many years ago because I thought he was a sick pervert. I guess I turned out to be right,” he stated.
The President dismissed discussions surrounding the Epstein files, branding them a “Democratic hoax.” He further suggested that ABC News should have its broadcasting license revoked due to what he deemed unfair reporting.
