Massive BJP Rally in Nalbari Demands Justice for Zubeen Garg
On October 22, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nalbari District Committee organized a mass public rally in memory of the late artist Zubeen Garg, whose unexpected passing has plunged Assam into mourning. This gathering, held under the rallying cry “Don’t politicize, my friend,” saw hundreds of BJP leaders, workers, and supporters marching through the streets of Nalbari, brandishing BJP flags and calling for an impartial investigation into the circumstances of the renowned singer’s death.
The Justice Rally for Zubeen Garg commenced at the Shaheed Mukunda Kakati Bus Stand, winding its way through the town’s principal roads before culminating at the Government Gordon Higher Secondary School playground, where a large public assembly took place.
Prominent figures addressing the crowd included Union Minister Pabitra Margherita, Member of Parliament and State BJP President Dilip Saikia, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, and Senior BJP Leader Chandra Mohan Patowary. Each speaker affirmed the party’s commitment to ensuring justice for the globally celebrated artist and encouraged the public to unite in their quest for truth and accountability.
The leaders stressed that this movement goes beyond political affiliations, embodying the collective feelings of the people for one of Assam’s most cherished icons.
