Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on October 9 via X that the results for the Assam Police recruitment drive will be released on October 10, 2025. A total of 625 positions will be filled, including roles for Sub-Inspector, Constable, and Grade-IV staff.
The recruitment includes 203 positions for Sub-Inspectors (UB/AB/Comm) and Assistant Deputy Controllers, 164 vacancies for Constables (AB) in the CDO Battalion, and 258 slots for Grade-IV staff within the Assam Police and affiliated organizations.
CM Sarma further shared that the recent lifting of a Stay Order on Constable posts by the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court allows for the announcement of results for an additional 5,614 posts. This includes 3,945 roles for Constables (AB/UB/APRO) and similar ranks, which will be made public on October 11, 2025.
Wishing the best to all candidates, CM Sarma expressed hope for a smooth recruitment process, emphasizing its significance in bolstering the Assam Police force with fresh talent.
