Unlock Your Eligibility: Modi Government Announces 30-Day Employee Bonus!
As the festive season approaches, the Indian central government is enhancing the festive spirit for its employees by announcing a productivity-linked bonus. On September 29, 2025, the Finance Ministry issued an order confirming that Group C and Non-Gazetted Group B employees of the central government will receive an “Ad-hoc Bonus” equivalent to 30 days’ salary for the financial year 2024-25, with the fixed amount set at ₹6,908.
To qualify for this bonus, employees must be in service as of March 31, 2025, and have worked continuously for at least six months. Those who have not served the full year will receive payment on a pro-rata basis, reflecting the months they have worked.
The Finance Ministry has conveyed the President’s approval for this bonus, extending it to all eligible Central Government employees who are not part of any existing Productivity Linked Bonus Scheme. Employees of the central paramilitary forces and the armed forces are also included in this announcement. Workers in Union Territories under the central government’s pay structure who do not receive any alternative bonuses or ex-gratia payments will be eligible as well. Ad-hoc employees can receive this benefit too, as long as there are no interruptions in their service.
Moreover, casual laborers with a stipulated number of workdays within the last three years will also qualify for the bonus, which has been fixed at ₹1,184 for this group. This initiative aims to spread joy and financial relief during the festive period, markedly benefiting various segments of government workers across the country.
