Assam Petrochemicals Limited (APL) has officially launched its Bongaigaon project, marking a significant achievement with the start of formalin production and entry into commercial sales. Situated in Dhaknabari within Bongaigaon district, this facility is APL’s fourth operational unit, further solidifying the company’s presence in the region’s industrial landscape.
The launch event saw prominent figures such as APL Chairman Bikul Chandra Deka, Vice Chairman Hemanta Kumar Gogoi, and other senior officials in attendance. During the ceremony, Chairman Deka inaugurated the first shipment, which consisted of five trucks carrying 150 tonnes of formalin destined for markets in West Bengal and Bhutan.
Company representatives highlighted that the Bongaigaon project is expected to enhance Assam’s industrial capacity and develop trade connections with surrounding markets, promoting stronger economic integration in the area. This advancement reflects APL’s commitment to bolstering the industrial infrastructure of Assam while facilitating regional commerce.
