In Uttar Pradesh, a tragic road accident on National Highway 34 in Bulandshahr claimed the lives of at least eight individuals, including two women and one child. Additionally, 45 others sustained injuries when a container collided with a tractor carrying devotees late last night. The devotees, on their way from Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh to Gogamedi in Rajasthan, were in the tractor near Ghatal Village when the incident occurred.
According to Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh, the accident took place on NH 34, close to the Aligarh border, around 2:15 AM. Approximately 60 to 61 people were traveling in the tractor when a high-speed container struck from behind. The impact caused the tractor to overturn, resulting in numerous injuries. The injured passengers have been rushed to a hospital in Khurja, with three individuals reported to be in critical condition. The police have taken custody of the container involved in the accident for further investigation.
