The Prime Minister advocated for “Atma Nirbhar Bharat,” or self-reliant India, emphasizing the nation’s robust global standing, supported by strong foreign exchange reserves, macroeconomic stability, and favorable ratings from international agencies.
In his speech, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of research and technology adoption, along with creating large-scale job opportunities for the youth. He announced upcoming Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms aimed at simplifying tax structures by Diwali, particularly benefiting the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector. His address also included initiatives for enhancing energy security, promoting clean energy, and allowing private sector engagement in deep-sea oil exploration and nuclear power.
Moreover, he highlighted advancements in pharmaceutical research and future tax reforms, alongside record agricultural exports amounting to ₹4 lakh crore, demonstrating India’s confidence and ongoing reform efforts.
Chauhan emphasized that the Prime Minister’s address presents a roadmap for a stronger, self-reliant India, focusing on economic stability, job creation, technological innovation, and essential reforms.
