In their statement, the organization acknowledged that certain elements of the program were disrespectful and did not adhere to the decorum expected during such a significant event. They emphasized that the performance in question had not been reviewed or approved by the higher authorities overseeing the festivities.
Footage from the event went viral, showing a group of girls displaying their muscles in front of guests on stage, an act considered inappropriate for the occasion. The NSCN clarified that this segment was organized independently by program coordinators and performers without the approval or knowledge of the event’s presiding authority.
The NSCN, along with its Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN), expressed regret for any discomfort or confusion caused to the dignitaries, invited guests, and the general public. They assured that corrective measures are being implemented to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. All future programs will undergo a thorough review to ensure they meet the standards of formality and respect required for national observances.
