Grieving Mother’s Heartfelt Plea to ULFA(I) Commander Paresh Baruah
The mother of a missing youth from Uday Nagar in Sadiya, Assam, has made a heartfelt appeal to Paresh Baruah, the chief commander of the banned militant group ULFA (Independent), requesting that he allow her son to return home. As her health continues to deteriorate, burdened by years of silence, she urged the militant leader to show compassion and help facilitate her son’s return.
The plea centers on Janardan Gogoi, a married man who left home on April 16, 2022, claiming he was traveling to Tinsukia for official work. He never returned and is believed to have joined the insurgent group ULFA (Independent).
The family has endured immense suffering since Janardan’s disappearance, which occurred just four months after the death of his father. His aging and ailing mother now lives with constant anguish, waiting for a reunion that appears increasingly uncertain as time passes.
Janardan’s wife and young son maintain hope, but their lives have been overshadowed by emotional and financial turmoil. Once a secure and united family, their household now teeters on the brink of collapse.
“I spend each day praying for his return. My health is failing. I just want to see my only son once again,” the mother tearfully expressed.
In addition to her plea, Janardan’s elder sister has also reached out to him, urging him to consider the emotional toll his absence has inflicted on the family and to come back home for their sake.
