Tripura CM Celebrates PM Modi’s 11-Year Tenure as a ‘Golden Era’ of Governance
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates 11 years in office, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha described this period as a “golden era” for India, attributing it to the government’s dedication to inclusive growth, welfare programs, and national development. Saha expressed gratitude, stating, “We are truly fortunate to have a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi. This is indeed a golden era for India. The way he is steering the country forward, introducing impactful schemes, and uplifting the poor is commendable.”
Saha emphasized Modi’s commitment to regional inclusivity, particularly highlighting unprecedented attention on the Northeast region. “No previous leader gave such attention to this region. PM Modi believes that without the development of the Northeast, India cannot progress. This vision will be remembered in golden letters,” he remarked.
In honor of the 11-year milestone, the central government released an e-book detailing key achievements since 2014, organized under 14 broad themes, including infrastructure, healthcare, digital governance, and foreign affairs. The publication credits Modi with instigating a change in the political and administrative landscape, stating, “The government under Prime Minister Modi has been steadfast in its commitment to creating equity and opportunity for all citizens,” and characterizing his approach as “Vikasvaad,” which translates to development-centric politics.
Prominent successes highlighted include effective management of the COVID-19 crisis. The report notes, “Whether it is in vaccinating the entire eligible population in record time, recording the nation’s highest-ever exports, or providing drinking water to rural households-these achievements stem from setting tough targets and beating them.”
The report also underscores the digital transformation of public services, attributing this advancement to the JAM Trinity-Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and Mobile. This integration is credited with eliminating middlemen and enabling direct benefit transfers to millions.
Moreover, the e-book discusses India’s environmental leadership, including its global climate action initiatives and cultural contributions, such as the UN’s declaration of June 21 as International Yoga Day. These accomplishments signify an expanding soft power under Modi’s administration.
Operation Sindoor was highlighted as a testament to a confident and assertive India on the world stage, with the report asserting that “the success of Operation Sindoor demonstrated a new India-resolute, swift, and sovereign in action.”
Modi first took office on May 26, 2014, and now, in his third consecutive term, his administration marks this 11-year journey by promoting what it describes as inclusive, progressive, and sustainable development.
