Kerala CM Strongly Denies Shocking Kickback Allegations Linked to Daughter’s Firm: A Fight for Integrity!

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has categorically denied allegations claiming he received illegal benefits from Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd. (CMRL), either directly or through his daughter T. Veena’s company, Exalogic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. In an affidavit submitted to the Kerala High Court, following a public interest petition requesting a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry, Vijayan described the allegations as “false, vexatious, and devoid of credible evidence.” He characterized them as politically motivated and lacking truth.

Vijayan clarified that CMRL, a mineral processing firm, hired Exalogic for IT services in 2017. He stated, “Exalogic was contracted to provide specific software and marketing consultancy services for a fee, fully accounted through bank transactions.” He emphasized that he played no role in this private contract and is not privy to the details of his daughter’s business dealings, asserting, “At no point did I intervene, assist, or influence CMRL or any other entity in its dealings with Exalogic.”

The Chief Minister also addressed claims that Exalogic is his “benami company,” asserting that his annual asset disclosures and income tax returns show no inexplicable increase in wealth during or after the period in question, rendering the allegations baseless.

Vijayan pointed out that the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is currently investigating CMRL’s transactions, including payments to Exalogic, and insisted that an overlapping investigation by other agencies, including the CBI, is unwarranted. He concluded by stressing that no prima facie case of criminal conduct has been established against him.

This situation continues to develop, drawing considerable public and media attention. As the investigation unfolds, citizens will be watching closely to see how these allegations play out and what impact they may have on the political landscape in Kerala. The Chief Minister remains steadfast in his position, holding firm against the allegations while awaiting further proceedings in court.

In this politically charged atmosphere, the assertions made by Vijayan and their subsequent investigations highlight complex interconnections between government dealings and personal enterprises. As the inquiry progresses, the implications for both the Chief Minister and the wider political scene in Kerala remain to be seen.
