
Namsangmukh IQ Celebrates Outdoor Gym Launch with Community Bicycle Giveaway
A significant milestone was reached at the 1st India Reserve Battalion (IRBN) Headquarters in Namsangmukh on June 2, marking a day filled with transformative activities aimed at enhancing health, environmental awareness, and community welfare. This event, organized under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., featured the inauguration of Arunachal Pradesh’s first Outdoor Open Gym within a police establishment, distribution of bicycles to the children of IRBN personnel, and a large-scale tree plantation drive.
The inauguration was attended by Wangki Lowang, the Minister for Forests, Environment, Geology & Mining, who served as the chief guest. He was joined by Apur Bitin, IPS, Inspector General of Police (Operations) as the guest of honour, and Pradip Kumar, Chief General Manager of Power Grid as a special guest. Senior officials from the Police Headquarters (PHQ) and Power Grid were also present at the occasion.
The newly opened gym represents a pioneering effort to enhance the physical fitness and overall well-being of IRBN personnel and their families. The plantation drive, led by the distinguished guests and actively supported by officers and their families, underscored a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
In a heartwarming gesture, 40 bicycles were presented to the children of IRBN personnel, which brought joy and empowerment to the young recipients, highlighting Power Grid’s dedication to community welfare through its CSR programs. Letters of appreciation were distributed to acknowledge the commitment of personnel whose efforts contributed significantly to the successful organization of the event.
The initiative was praised by the chief guest and other dignitaries, who commended the leadership of Dr. Sachin Kumar Singhal, IPS, Commandant of 1st IRBN, for his vision and execution of this multifaceted program shortly after assuming his role. They recognized the collaborative efforts between Power Grid and the police department in effecting meaningful changes within the community.
The event concluded with Dr. Singhal expressing heartfelt gratitude and emphasizing the value of welfare-centered partnerships. The day ended with a revived sense of unity, progress, and purpose among everyone involved in the celebrations.
