Transforming Delhi’s Air: Revolutionary Anti-Smog Guns Now Mandatory for High-Rise Buildings, Hotels, and Malls!

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled the Air Pollution Mitigation Plan 2025 on Tuesday, introducing significant measures aimed at tackling the persistent air quality crisis in the capital. Key among the initiatives is a mandate for the installation of anti-smog guns on high-rise commercial buildings, particularly those exceeding 3,000 square meters, including malls, hotels, and office complexes.

Starting November 1, only vehicles compliant with BS-VI standards, electric vehicles (EVs), and those running on compressed natural gas (CNG) will be permitted entry into the city. Further enhancing enforcement measures, the Delhi government plans to install Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras at all major entry points and petrol stations throughout the capital. These cameras will identify end-of-life vehicles known for their high emissions, enabling authorities to act swiftly to prevent these vehicles from operating in the city.
