Tragic Discovery: Body Found in Sohra Linked to Missing Indore Couple
A semi-decomposed male body was found on Monday in a gorge near the well-known Weisawdong waterfalls in Sohra, Meghalaya. While the official identification has yet to be confirmed, authorities suspect the remains may belong to one of two tourists from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, who have been missing in the area for over ten days. Following the discovery, police from the East Khasi Hills District were dispatched to the scene and have started an investigation. In light of the situation, access to the Weisawdong waterfalls has been temporarily closed as a safety measure. The missing tourists, identified as Raja and his wife Sonam, had traveled to Sohra for their honeymoon before their disappearance on May 23.
