
Significant Bureaucratic Restructure in Arunachal: Key DCs and Secretaries Reassigned
In a major administrative overhaul, the Arunachal Pradesh government has announced new transfer and posting orders impacting several IAS and APCS officers in crucial roles, including Deputy Commissioners, Secretaries, and Directors across various departments and districts. This reshuffle aims to enhance governance and improve administrative efficiency throughout the state. Among the key changes, Vishakha Yadav, an IAS officer from the 2020 batch, has been moved from the position of Deputy Commissioner in Kurung Kumey to take over as Deputy Commissioner in Papum Pare, replacing Tayi Taggu. Toko Babu, an APCS officer, is now the new Deputy Commissioner of Itanagar Capital Complex, succeeding Talo Potom. Kunal Yadav, also an IAS officer from the 2021 batch, has been assigned as Deputy Commissioner of Longding, taking over from Kanki Darang.
Manjunath R, an IAS officer from the 2022 batch, will now serve as Deputy Commissioner in Dibang Valley, succeeding Bekir Nyorak, while Yashwant Meena, another IAS officer from the 2022 batch, takes charge as Deputy Commissioner of Kurung Kumey, replacing Vishakha Yadav. Namgyal Angmo, from the 2020 IAS batch, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Lower Subansiri, taking over from Vivek HP, who has transitioned to the role of Secretary for Health. Additionally, Fwwrman Brahma, an IAS officer from the 2019 batch, is now the Deputy Commissioner of East Siang.
At the Secretary level, Ankur Garg, an IAS officer from the 2003 batch, has been assigned as Secretary for Planning and Investment, in addition to serving as Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB). Vivek Pandey, also from the 2003 batch, retains his position while taking on additional responsibilities as Commissioner for Public Health Engineering and Water Supply. Yashpal Garg, an IAS officer from the 2008 batch, will now serve as Commissioner for Personnel, Vigilance, and Law, being relieved from his previous post in Administrative Reforms and Training. Ira Singhal, an IAS officer from the 2015 batch, has been transferred from Secretary of Health to Secretary of Administrative Reforms and Training, while Vivek HP, from the 2016 IAS batch, has taken over the Health department as Secretary.
Other notable appointments include Samuel Changkija from the Indian Forest Service, who is now Secretary for Agriculture, replacing Bidol Tayeng, and Komkar Dulom, an APCS officer, who becomes Secretary for General Administration, Social Affairs, and Protocol. Dani Salu will assume additional responsibilities as Secretary for Public Works Department, alongside his current role in Disaster Management. Kanki Darang, an APCS officer, has moved from Deputy Commissioner of Tawang to Additional Secretary-cum-Director in Disaster Management. Both Sonalika Jiwani, an IAS officer from the 2017 batch, and B.J. Duia, an APCS officer, have also been reassigned to new critical positions. The changes are effective immediately and will be in place until further directions are issued.
