
Tiranga Yatra: A Vibrant Celebration in Haflong Unites the Community

HAFLONG: In a powerful display of national pride and unity, thousands of individuals from diverse backgrounds participated in the Tiranga Yatra in Haflong on Saturday, honoring the courage and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces and recognizing the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This significant event was organized by the civil society of Haflong.
The yatra commenced at the Cultural Institute Hall and traversed Haflong Township, concluding at the DHAC Parking Ground. Enthusiastic participants, including school children, ex-servicemen, Army veterans, and local residents, joined the march, expressing solidarity with Operation Sindoor.
The rally highlighted the presence of key figures such as Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC), Assam Minister Nandita Gorlosa, as well as Executive Members and Members of the Autonomous Council (MACs) of DHAC, alongside war veterans and dedicated BJP karyakartas.
During the event, CEM Debolal Gorlosa and Minister Nandita Gorlosa emphasized that the march sent a profound message: the people of India stand united with their soldiers in defending the nation’s sovereignty and integrity.
War veterans from Dima Hasao also shared their thoughts, asserting their readiness to serve again if called by the nation. They expressed frustration with Pakistan’s ongoing provocations, urging the Indian Government to remain vigilant and cautious, reinforcing their unwavering commitment to patriotism and the motherland.
