26-Year-Old Arrested in Nuh for Alleged Spying for Pakistan
A 26-year-old man named Armaan was arrested on Saturday in Rajaka village, located in Nuh district, on charges of espionage for Pakistan, according to local police officials. The police stated that Armaan is accused of sharing sensitive information regarding the Indian Army and other military activities with a representative of the High Commission of Pakistan in New Delhi.
This incident marks the fourth arrest of its kind in Haryana within just as many days. Authorities reported that Armaan was apprehended following a tip-off from central investigative agencies. It is alleged that he had been passing information through WhatsApp and various social media platforms for an extended period.
During a search of his mobile device, investigators uncovered numerous conversations, as well as photos and videos exchanged with Pakistani contacts. Following this, a local court placed Armaan under a six-day police remand for further questioning.
A senior officer revealed that a case has been registered against Armaan under Section 152 of the BNS, alongside sections 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act of 1923, and relevant treason laws.
