The demand for ultra-luxury housing in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) has surged, as all units in the Trump-branded residential project in Gurgaon sold out on its launch day, May 13. A total of 298 units, with prices ranging from ₹8 crore to ₹15 crore, including four penthouses priced at ₹125 crore, were sold in the Trump Residences located on Southern Peripheral Road in Sector 69. The developers recorded sales worth an impressive ₹3,250 crore.
This project features two 51-storey towers, with construction yet to commence. Trump Residences marks the second such project under the brand name in North India and has been developed by Smartworld Developers in collaboration with Tribeca Developers and The Trump Organisation. Smartworld is responsible for construction and customer service, while Tribeca leads design, sales, and quality control, having secured the license for Trump-branded projects in India. The first project, Trump Towers Delhi NCR, also in Gurgaon, launched in 2018 and is expected to be delivered this month, located in Sector 65.
Pankaj Bansal, founder of Smartworld Developers, expressed pride in the overwhelming response, stating, “The phenomenal response to Trump Residences is a testament to the aspiration for world-class living in India. We thank our buyers for their trust in our vision.” Kalpesh Mehta, founder of Tribeca Developers, highlighted the significance of the sales, saying, “Selling ₹3,250 crore on Day 1 places this among the biggest luxury deals the country has ever seen. This launch proves the unmatched magnetic pull of the Trump brand and how deeply it resonates with India’s most discerning buyers.”
The Trump Organisation has roots dating back to 1927 when it was founded by Frederick C. Trump, the grandfather of Donald Trump. It saw substantial expansion under Donald Trump, who took charge in the 1970s. In 2017, he handed over the leadership to his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, who continue to serve as Executive Vice Presidents.
