Modi’s Urgent Message to Army Amid Rising Tensions with Pakistan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the need for a stronger response from the Indian armed forces to any actions taken by Pakistan. This declaration follows India’s launch of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which was a direct reaction to drone and ammunition attacks from Islamabad. Sources within the government stated that Modi instructed the forces with a clear message: “Wahan se goli chalegi, yahan se gola chalega,” indicating that bullets should be met with artillery fire. The situation escalated significantly following attacks on Indian air bases.

India executed precision strikes targeting several Pakistani military sites, including bases in Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian, along with radar installations at Pasrur and Sialkot, utilizing air-launched munitions. Officials clarified that Operation Sindoor is ongoing, marking a shift in how India approaches cross-border terrorism. They described this as a “new normal,” asserting that there will be “no business as usual.” The cost associated with cross-border terrorism will increase, signaling that Pakistan cannot expect cooperation while continuing its terrorist activities.

India has firmly stated that it will not accept any mediation over the Kashmir issue, reiterating that the only topic for discussion is Pakistan’s return of the territory it occupies illegally. In recent developments, U.S. President Donald Trump offered to mediate between the two nuclear-armed nations regarding this dispute. He congratulated both sides on reaching a ceasefire, which was soon violated by Pakistan. Trump remarked, “I will work with you both (India and Pakistan) to see if, after a thousand years, a solution can be arrived at concerning Kashmir.”

Government sources reiterated that the sole issue regarding Kashmir is the return of occupied territories. Furthermore, any talks with Pakistan will exclusively take place through the Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs), underscoring that there are no other matters for discussion.
