Agartala, 10th May 2025: The state is in mourning following the passing of former MLA Burba Mohan Tripura (80), who represented the Karbook assembly constituency. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, along with various ministers and MLAs, expressed their profound sorrow and paid their respects by laying floral tributes at his mortal remains in the State Assembly this morning.
In a heartfelt message on social media, Chief Minister Dr. Saha conveyed his grief, stating, “I am deeply saddened by his demise. I pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul and ask for strength for his family and loved ones to cope with this loss.”
Minister Ratan Lal Nath also shared his condolences, remarking, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of former state MLA and my one-time colleague Burba Mohan Tripura. My condolences to his grieving family. May the Almighty grant his soul eternal rest.”
Others, including Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, AMC Mayor, and MLA Dipak Majumdar, joined in honoring Tripura by laying floral wreaths, further highlighting the respect he garnered throughout his political journey.
