Transform Your Future: AdtU Teams Up with Delhivery for Cutting-Edge BBA in Supply Chain Management in Assam
Assam down town University (AdtU) has embarked on a significant partnership with Delhivery, India’s largest logistics firm, as part of its drive for industry-oriented education. Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), AdtU will introduce Supply Chain Management as a specialization within its BBA program, effectively merging academic theory with hands-on experience in one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy.
This comprehensive three-year course features two years of on-campus education followed by a one-year paid internship that spans across India in collaboration with Delhivery and its industry partners. As Delhivery operates in over 18,000 pin codes and boasts a market capitalization of $3.4 billion, students will have the opportunity to engage with a company that has successfully delivered more than 3.5 billion packages, serving upwards of 760 million orders each year.
The internship offers students invaluable experience in managing extensive supply chains, with 100% placement support in critical areas such as warehousing, operations, freight, and inventory management. The program promises a well-defined career progression within Delhivery, allowing participants to ascend from entry-level roles to leadership positions. Practical learning is enriched through live operational exposure, real-time simulations, and immersive experiences at logistics hubs.
Students enrolled in this program will also acquire industry-recognized certifications, increasing their employability in India’s flourishing logistics sector, currently valued at approximately $11.6 trillion. Prof. (Dr.) Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of AdtU, commented on the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This MoU signifies a strategic partnership between academia and industry. Our students will gain crucial exposure to the most dynamic logistics environments in the country, equipping them to take the lead in the future supply chain landscape.”
Suraju Dutta, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships at Delhivery, highlighted the importance of this alliance in fostering talent within India’s logistics sector. “By embedding our training modules into academic programs, we enhance employability and prepare a future-ready workforce aligned with industry demands,” he said. He further explained that the model is designed to be scalable, serving as a foundation for extending this initiative to universities nationwide, thereby strengthening local talent pipelines.
Delhivery’s extensive infrastructure and expanding global presence mean students can expect to emerge job-ready from the first day. This partnership offers more than a degree; it serves as a launchpad into the evolving realms of logistics, technology, and global commerce.
Admissions are currently open, inviting students to secure their places in this innovative program and step into a world of advanced supply chain systems, seamless logistics, and boundless opportunities.
This initiative not only sets a precedent for educational partnerships in logistical studies but also reflects a broader trend in aligning academic efforts with real-world industry requirements. As the logistics sector continues to grow, so too does the demand for skilled professionals ready to tackle the challenges of an interconnected economy.
With this forward-thinking program at AdtU, the next generation of logistics leaders is poised for success.
