Exposed: CPI(M)’s Desperate Misinformation Tactics Against Progress – BJP Charges
Tripura BJP Accuses CPI(M) of Spreading Misinformation Amid Development Efforts
Agartala, January 30, 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura has charged the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] with misleading the public and resisting the state’s developmental progress. During a press conference on Thursday, BJP spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty criticized the CPI(M) for orchestrating a public rally on Wednesday aimed at spreading false narratives. Chakraborty contended that the CPI(M) is unable to accept the substantial advances under the BJP’s governance.
Highlighting the alleged shortcomings of the CPI(M)’s prolonged rule, Chakraborty asserted, "For 35 years, they governed by suppressing democracy and fostering corruption." He accused prominent CPI(M) figures, such as Prakash Karat and former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, of making unfounded allegations during the rally and neglecting Tripura’s visible progress.
Chakraborty further alleged that the CPI(M) relied on coercive methods to draw crowds to their rallies, a practice the BJP has moved beyond. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, Chakraborty emphasized that Tripura is on a path toward development without resorting to such undemocratic tactics. He assured that the BJP remains dedicated to the inclusive growth envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, encapsulated in the motto "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" (Together with all, Development for all).
While CPI(M) leaders attempt to destabilize the current administration by disseminating misinformation, Chakraborty reiterated the BJP’s commitment to continued progress and welfare in Tripura. As the state advances under the current government, the BJP spokesperson expressed confidence that the attempts to sow unrest would not deter their developmental agenda.
