Exciting Khel Maharan 3.0: How Barpeta Administration Ensures a Flawless District-Level Sports Extravaganza
The Barpeta District Administration is diligently preparing for the upcoming zonal phase of Khel Maharan 3.0. Under the leadership of District Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha, an important meeting was held on January 27, involving the CEO of Zilla Parishad, ADC (Sports), the District Sports Officer, physical instructors, and representatives from various relevant departments. The focus was to address any concerns and challenges faced by stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the event, with DC Jha pledging full support for a seamless experience.
The district-level competition is scheduled for February 3, 4, and 5, featuring 1,040 participants, as confirmed by the ADC (Sports). The conclusion of the event on February 5 will witness the presence of the Guardian Minister of the district, emphasizing the significance of the event.
In alignment with the successful LAC-level competitions, the Barpeta administration is committed to preventing any untoward incidents during the district phase. Officials have laid out comprehensive plans to overcome logistical challenges, adhering to the guidelines set by the Government of Assam.
The Additional Superintendent of Police has guaranteed robust security arrangements for the games, while the Health Department has committed to providing ambulances and first-aid facilities for the safety of all participants. Sporting events, including athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, and chess, will be hosted at the Municipality Playground, Barpeta, while football matches will take place at the Barpeta Government Higher Secondary Playground.
The initial rounds of Khel Maharan 3.0 witnessed participation from over 25,000 contestants across the district, highlighting the event’s popularity and importance. As preparations continue, the Barpeta District Administration aims to deliver a successful and memorable sporting occasion for all involved.
