Tensions have flared in Udalguri district, Assam, following the alleged arson of a 75-year-old Catholic Church by unknown assailants on the night of January 15, coinciding with the Assamese Bhogali Bihu celebrations. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 PM in the Ambagaon area and has sparked widespread condemnation and urgent calls for justice.
Local residents have expressed their distress, highlighting the importance of maintaining the secular integrity of the nation. “We are living in a secular country and such acts of violence are unacceptable.
