Thrilled and Grateful: SSB Lauds Sikkim Government’s Bold Action for Transformative Road Connectivity to Chewabhanjang
The Commandant of the 36th Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Gyalshing, Sikkim, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Sikkim government for the prompt repair of the Uttarey-Chewabhanjang road. In an official letter to the state’s Roads & Bridges Minister, the Commandant emphasized the road’s critical role in enhancing logistical support for SSB personnel stationed at higher altitudes near the Nepal border.
The repaired road is pivotal for providing essential logistical support to troops tasked with safeguarding the international border. With the road now fully motorable, the SSB personnel are equipped to perform their duties more efficiently, even amidst harsh climatic conditions, the letter added.
The Commandant also commended the minister for his personal involvement, which ensured the project’s timely completion. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to enhance future operations, expressing confidence that such cooperation will further strengthen their efforts.
