Triumphant Victory: How the Modi Government Boldly Dismantled the Terror Ecosystem in Kashmir
Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the Modi government’s achievements in diminishing the terror infrastructure in Kashmir, attributing the abrogation of Article 370 to PM Modi’s decisive actions. Speaking at the launch of ‘J&K and Ladakh Through the Ages,’ Shah underscored that Article 370 and 35A obstructed Kashmir’s full integration with India and perpetuated separatist sentiments, which evolved into terrorism. He noted that since the articles’ abrogation in August 2019, terrorism has dropped by 70%. Shah criticized historical narratives and emphasized the importance of understanding India through its culture and connecting Kashmir’s 10,000-year-old cultural legacy to wider Indian heritage.
Shah expressed gratitude to PM Modi for revitalizing Kashmir’s languages and stressed the need to rewrite history based on factual evidence. He remarked on the rich tapestry of Kashmir’s past, including its role in Buddhism and the region’s connections from the era of Maharaja Ranjit Singh to the Dogra rule. Shah insisted Kashmir has been and will remain an irremovable part of India, dismissing past attempts at legal separation. He alluded to Kashmir’s diverse historical influences as depicted in the book, arguing for the presentation of India’s narrative through an authentic lens reflective of its true cultural identity.
