The film “UI (2024)” has had an impressive opening week at the box office, grossing an estimated ₹25.38 crore across India in just six days. On its seventh day, the movie added approximately ₹0.8 crore to its earnings, bringing its total net collection to ₹26.18 crore. This initial success showcases strong performance, particularly in the Kannada and Telugu markets.
Directed by Upendra and produced by Lahari Films and Venus Enterrtainer, “UI (2024)” stars Upendra, Reeshma Nanaiah, Sunny Leone, Sadhu Kokila, and Murali Sharma. The movie has captivated audiences across its various language releases, namely Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, with fans showing up in significant numbers on the first day, contributing ₹6.95 crore to the box office.
The collection notably dipped on the subsequent days, with the best footfall seen during the weekend. Day 4 and Day 5 saw a decline in earnings, with Monday and Tuesday contributing ₹2.3 crore and ₹2.1 crore, respectively. In terms of occupancy rates on the seventh day, Kannada shows saw an average occupancy of 13.90%, with notable attendance in regions like Tumakuru, where occupancy peaked at 61.67% across four different time slots. Hyderabad also featured a decent turnout for Telugu shows, achieving an overall 16.59% occupancy.
The filmmakers have urged media outlets to avoid treating the current figures as final estimates, as these numbers are subject to updates. Fans and industry watchers are keenly observing the film’s performance, especially given the ensemble cast and the anticipation that has surrounded the release.
