Exciting News: STEEL PANTHER Teases Electrifying New Studio Album with Fresh Ideas Floating Around!
Steel Panther’s drummer, Stix Zadinia, in a recent interview with “Iron City Rocks,” discussed the band’s creative process for their anticipated seventh studio album. As Zadinia reveals, the process is ongoing, with band members constantly exchanging ideas and collaborating. Guitarist Satchel is primarily responsible for writing, but contributions come from all members, including Michael Starr, who occasionally adds riffs. This fluid, collaborative approach ensures a steady flow of new material, eventually leading to the recording once they have enough polished demos.
Zadinia also reflected on the group’s provocative lyrics, suggesting that their controversial content is essential to their identity and longevity. He believes that if Steel Panther had adhered to more conventional lyrical themes typical of the ’80s, they wouldn’t have stood out or succeeded as they have. Instead, their humorously outrageous and sometimes offensive approach has cultivated a unique space for fans seeking lighthearted escapism. Stix expresses pride in their authenticity, emphasizing the artistic satisfaction of being their own bosses without adhering to industry norms.
This year marks Steel Panther’s efforts to promote their music live. In celebration of the 15th anniversary of their debut album “Feel The Steel,” the band has embarked on an extensive tour. The U.S. leg kicks off on March 5, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska, and wraps up in Dubuque, Iowa, on March 28. They’ll then head to Europe for festival performances and shows, starting in Dublin on June 18 and ending in Geiselwind, Germany, on July 6. “Feel The Steel,” recently certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry, has been re-released as an anniversary edition featuring two previously Japanese-exclusive tracks. Formed in 2000, Steel Panther is renowned for its satirical take on ’80s glam metal, blending humor with high-energy performances.
