The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura has effectively disrupted several smuggling operations along the Indo-Bangladesh frontier, confiscating contraband worth Rs 2,07,495. Leveraging precise intelligence, vigilant BSF troops intercepted the smuggling activities, securing a significant haul that included ganja, phensedyl, and sugar.
In a separate development, a collaborative operation was conducted by the Tripura Police, the BSF, and the Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP) leading to the arrest of two individuals involved in human trafficking. This operation was carried out in the Mati Nagar area of Sonamura. The suspects, identified as Shahid Mia, aged 33, and Faichal Mia, aged 19, are presently under investigation for their alleged criminal activities.
This dual effort highlights the ongoing commitment of Indian security forces to combat illegal activities along the sensitive border regions. These operations underscore the need for continued vigilance and cooperation among law enforcement agencies to uphold border security and address serious criminal operations such as smuggling and human trafficking. The successful seizures and arrests are indicative of the proactive measures being adopted to safeguard national security and disrupt illegal networks operating within the region.
