Shocking Breakthrough: Manipur Forces Dismantle Militant Camps and Capture Rebels in Major Security Win
Security forces in Manipur conducted successful operations against banned militant groups, dismantling two camps and apprehending nine members of another group in various districts on Wednesday. The operations led to the discovery and elimination of a KYKL hideout and a combined camp and training center belonging to PREPAK during a cordon and search at Makou Pourabi in Imphal East. The police seized multiple items from the KYKL camp, including an airgun, while from the PREPAK site, they confiscated an Insas LMG magazine, 47 spent cartridges, a bayonet, five wooden dummy guns, Baofeng walkie-talkies, two four-wheelers, and numerous incriminating documents.
In a related operation, six cadres of the KCP (PWG) were arrested in Bijoypur Mamang Leikai and Makha Leikai in Kakching district. Additionally, two active members of the same group were detained at Mantripukhri Bazar in Imphal East, where demand letters and cash receipt notes were found in their possession. The previous day, authorities also captured another KCP (PWG) member in the Tangkhul Avenue area of Imphal West district. The successful operations mark a significant blow to the militant networks operating in the region, emphasizing the ongoing commitment of security forces to maintain order and safety.
