Shocking Arrest: Four, Including Bangladeshi Minors, Captured in Tripura En Route to Bangalore
Authorities, including the Government Railway Police (GRP), Border Security Force (BSF), and Railway Protection Force (RPF), apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals at Agartala Railway Station late last night. The group, comprising Tahidul Quran, his wife Rajifa Begum, and their two children, was intercepted as they attempted to travel to Bangalore, reportedly in pursuit of job opportunities.
According to GRP Officer-in-Charge Tapas Das, the individuals had entered India illegally. Upon questioning, they disclosed plans to reach Bangalore, revealing that the adult migrants possessed previous migration experience. Quran, in particular, admitted to having traveled to Bangalore back in 2018, suggesting a recurring pattern of economic migration across borders.
The unauthorized entry by the Bangladeshi nationals prompted legal proceedings, as the security forces presented them before the local court, adhering to standard legal protocols for such cases. This incident highlights ongoing challenges related to cross-border migration and employment-driven relocation efforts.
