Historic Triumph: East Siang’s Game-Changing Ferro Silicon Plant Ignites Arunachal’s Industrial Revolution

Arunachal Pradesh has made notable strides in its industrial sector with the inauguration of the Aether Alloys LLP ferro silicon manufacturing plant at the Industrial Growth Centre in Niglok, East Siang district. The plant was officially opened by Commerce and Industries Minister Nyato Dukam, marking a critical development aimed at enhancing the state’s economy and employment landscape.

Minister Dukam lauded the project as a “major milestone” and reiterated the government’s dedication to fostering an investor-friendly atmosphere, aligning with Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s vision. He asserted that the Arunachal Pradesh government is poised to offer the necessary infrastructure, policy backing, and a favorable business climate to attract investment. The establishment is anticipated to generate significant job opportunities, bolster the regional economy, and contribute to India’s self-reliance in ferro silicon production.

Equipped with cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, the plant places Arunachal Pradesh on the industrial map as a significant contributor to the nation’s ferrosilicon production. Aether Alloys LLP’s CEO, Niraj Sharma, underscored that the facility not only aligns with the state’s economic goals but is also expected to enhance Arunachal’s GDP and contribute to India’s broader industrial growth.

Local leaders emphasized the project’s regional importance, with MLA Jikke Tako Tanui, power ministry advisor, pledging unwavering support to ensure stable power supply for industrial advancement. MLA Ninong Ering, hydropower advisor, shared optimism about the project’s job creation potential and its capacity to uplift local communities.

East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu highlighted the district as an emergent economic and educational hub, emphasizing the project’s role in shaping the area’s future. The ceremony also featured the presence of Pasighat East MLA Tapi Darang, along with officials from the power and industries departments. Attendees concluded the day with tours of the Siang Rubber Processing Unit and Patanjali Foods Ltd., showcasing Niglok’s promising industrial potential.
