Celebrating Change: MLA Nabam Vivek Triumphantly Elected as Dynamic President of People’s Party of Arunachal
Nabam Vivek, MLA of the 14th Doimukh constituency, has been unanimously elected as the new president of the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) during the party assembly in Itanagar. The event was attended by notable PPA leaders and members. In his address, Vivek emphasized the PPA’s founding legacy, established in 1977 by leaders Late Bakin Pertin and Late Tomo Riba, and expressed dedication to the party’s core principles of development, tribal culture preservation, and welfare advocacy for Arunachal’s people.
Vivek expressed enthusiasm about leading Arunachal’s oldest regional party, focusing on maintaining tribal customs, faith, and livelihoods alongside fostering sustainable development and wildlife conservation. The PPA, which holds two seats in Arunachal’s 60-member assembly, partners with the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA). Vivek pledged to support the state government’s positive initiatives while standing against any injustices affecting the tribal communities.
Additionally, Vivek plans to collaborate with key decision-makers to strengthen the party’s constitution and promote integrity and teamwork. Under his leadership, the PPA seeks to extend its influence and address political dynamics in Arunachal Pradesh, prioritizing tribal welfare and environmental conservation.
