Central to these advancements is Knox Matrix, Samsung’s vision for future device security. It elevates protection through intelligent threat monitoring across connected devices, managed via a secure private blockchain called Trust Chain. Users can now monitor their devices’ security status via an intuitive dashboard, receiving alerts and action recommendations if any risk is detected. A novel recovery method simplifies data retrieval from Samsung Cloud, safeguarding private data during device transitions.
Moreover, the introduction of passkeys advances digital security, allowing users to access Samsung Accounts through a more efficient fingerprint authentication mechanism. The One UI 7 update strengthens existing protections under Maximum Restrictions, offering users enhanced network connection controls to avert cyber threats. By preventing automatic connections to unsecured networks and blocking potentially malicious content in Samsung Messages and Gallery, user control and security are significantly boosted.
Additional security settings in One UI 7 further protect devices by allowing users to block USB connections and prevent downloads from unauthorized sources through the Safe Install system and Auto Blocker.
