Assam CM Enthralls with Bold Invitation to Union Ministers for 2025 Investor Summit – Transform Northeast’s Future!
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has extended invitations to several Union Ministers ahead of the upcoming Assam Investor and Infrastructure Summit and Mega Jhumur Performance slated for February 2025. During a recent visit to New Delhi, Sarma engaged with prominent Union Ministers to discuss various significant state issues. His itinerary included productive meetings with ministers like Nitin Gadkari, J P Nadda, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Piyush Goyal, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.
In his meeting with Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, Sarma emphasized the importance of national highway developments in Assam, notably the Guwahati ring road project. Expressing his satisfaction on social media, Sarma highlighted the Ministry’s steadfast support for accelerating infrastructure projects within Assam.
Meeting with Union Minister for Development of the North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Sarma formally invited him to the February summit while discussing the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav and ongoing development initiatives. The Chief Minister shared his invitation to Scindia on X (formerly Twitter), maintaining high visibility of his agenda.
Expanding his outreach, Sarma consulted with Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, seeking his backing in attracting potential investors and stakeholders to the summit. Sarma lauded Goyal’s guidance and anticipated the Ministry’s cooperation for the event. The Chief Minister also formally invited BJP President and Union Minister J P Nadda, underscoring the summit’s objective to enhance investment and economic growth in Assam. Talks with Nadda also covered the advancement of healthcare initiatives in Assam, like the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. Additionally, Sarma met with Union Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, to extend an invitation to the Advantage Assam Summit. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been invited to attend this significant event.
