Shocking Revelation: Kailash Gahlot Unveils AAP Leadership’s Knowledge of Balyan Extortion Case!
New Delhi, Dec 1: BJP leader Kailash Gahlot has refuted allegations of a conspiracy in the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Naresh Balyan, emphasizing that top AAP leaders, including National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, had been aware of the extortion issue for a year. Gahlot, a former AAP member who recently joined the BJP, criticized the AAP leadership for their inaction despite their prior knowledge of Balyan’s alleged criminal activities.
Naresh Balyan, representing Uttam Nagar, was arrested following the release of audio clips that allegedly feature him discussing extortion plans with gangster Kapil Sangwan, also known as Nandu. These recordings hint at a scheme to extort money from builders and other parties in Delhi. At a press conference, BJP National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia labeled Balyan an “extortionist,” accusing AAP leaders of collaborating with criminals to extort protection money, allegedly with Kejriwal’s approval.
During an interaction with IANS, Gahlot downplayed conspiracy claims, questioning why no action was taken if senior AAP figures were informed. He criticized the party’s purported principles of addressing issues related to character, corruption, and crime, highlighting that the ongoing scandal contradicts AAP’s founding ideals. Describing the audio clip as an alarming continuous five-to-six-minute conversation, he conveyed his concern about the revelations.
Gahlot also commented on an incident during Kejriwal’s padyatra in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar, where liquid was thrown at the AAP leader. Kejriwal suggested the act was carried out by Ashok Jha, a bus marshal. Gahlot challenged Kejriwal’s response, accusing him of diverting attention, and called for a detailed investigation into the motives and identity of the involved individual. He stressed the importance of uncovering the truth behind the incident instead of dismissing it casually.
