KOHIMA | November 26: The 68th National School Games for Under-19 Girls in Sepak Takraw saw intense action on its second day at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima. The highlight of the quarter finals was Nagaland’s commanding performance, securing a 2-0 victory over Gujarat. Meanwhile, in another thrilling match, Maharashtra edged past Andhra Pradesh with a close 2-1 win.
The event, which showcases young athletic talent from across the nation, is set to have its closing ceremony graced by Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Nagaland’s School Education & SCERT Advisor, on November 27 at 3 PM. The competition, filled with spirited matchups across various groups, continues to highlight the prowess and determination of these young athletes.
In other matches held on Day 2, Group A saw Nagaland defeating Delhi 2-0, while Manipur overcame Rajasthan with the same scoreline. Group B results had Bihar triumphing over Madhya Pradesh 2-0, and Telangana securing a win against Vidya Bharathi 2-0. Madhya Pradesh clinched a 2-1 victory over Tamil Nadu thereafter.
