Shocking Arrest: Standup Comedian Utsav Dixit’s Rash Driving Horror in Hyderabad Porsche Crash
Utsav Dixit, a 33-year-old stand-up comedian and businessman from Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, was apprehended on Sunday following a road accident involving his Porsche at KBR Park, according to city police. The incident reportedly took place in the early hours of Friday when Dixit allegedly lost control of his luxury vehicle due to reckless driving and crashed into the boundary walls of the park. In the aftermath, he abandoned the damaged car, which had a broken front and a missing number plate, and fled the scene, as detailed by Telangana Today.
A passerby reported the crash to police around 5:45 am, prompting patrolling officers to respond quickly. Upon arrival, they discovered the red Porsche and secured evidence from the site, including a broken number plate found inside the car. Their investigation led to a suo-moto case being registered.
Assistant Commissioner of Police S. Venkat Reddy informed Mathrubhumi that the preliminary investigation suggested reckless driving as the cause of the accident. Following this, Dixit was located and arrested after evidence verification. His driving licence was confiscated as part of the ongoing legal procedures. Police subjected Dixit to alcohol and drug tests, with results pending.
This case underscores the serious repercussions of negligent driving and the decisive response of authorities in addressing such incidents.
