In North Tripura’s Kanchanpur area, a massive fire broke out following an LPG cylinder explosion, resulting in the destruction of at least four houses. Among the affected structures were a candle factory and a shop. The incident caused significant havoc, as the fire swiftly consumed the buildings before local authorities and fire brigades could intervene. Despite valiant efforts by firefighters to extinguish the flames, the candle factory and several houses were reduced to ashes.
As a consequence of the blaze, several families have become homeless and are now relying on the generosity of friends and relatives for temporary accommodation. The financial toll of the fire is substantial, with several lakhs of rupees worth of property damaged; however, the exact extent of the losses is still being assessed. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported.
