Joyous Launch of Arunachal’s ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2024’ in Yachuli: Celebrating PM Modi’s Birthday with a Grand Cleanliness Drive
District Administration of Keyi Panyor Kicks Off the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2024’ Campaign
Yachuli, [Current Date] — In a significant move towards promoting cleanliness and environmental preservation, the District Administration of Keyi Panyor, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health Engineering & Water Supply (PHE & WS) and Urban Development & Housing (UD & Housing), launched the week-long ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2024’ campaign. This initiative notably coincides with the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The campaign was inaugurated at the District Commissioner (DC) office in Yachuli by Yachuli MLA Toko Tatung. The ceremony saw participation from several dignitaries, including DC Keyi Panyor Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta, ZPC Keyi Panyor Likha Sangchhore, Additional Deputy Commissioner Suraj Gurung, Extra Assistant Commissioner Dr. Mumne Borang, Circle Officer Yachuli Taba Milka, Circle Officer Deed Sylvia Koyu, PRI leaders, heads of various departments, and members of the public.
A Swachhata Pledge marked the start of the campaign, where participants committed to practicing and promoting cleanliness daily. Following the pledge, a plantation drive titled "Ek ped maa ke naam" was launched, underlining the importance of tree plantation in the broader context of the cleanliness movement.
In his address, MLA Toko Tatung emphasized the necessity for the public to integrate cleanliness into their daily lives, extending its significance beyond organized campaigns. "Cleanliness should start at home and evolve through community participation," he urged. Meanwhile, DC Keyi Panyor Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta highlighted the importance of setting achievable cleanliness goals, noting that these efforts could serve as a model for neighboring districts, including the state capital.
The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2024’ campaign aims to foster a sustained cleanliness drive across the district by combining governmental efforts with community involvement, thereby enhancing the standard of living and environmental health.
