Heart-Wrenching Tragedy: Assam Mother and Children Plunge into River Brahmaputra from Bogibeel Bridge

In a tragic event, a woman and her two young children went missing after allegedly jumping off the Bogibeel Bridge into the Brahmaputra River on Sunday, September 1. Authorities have heightened fears of a devastating outcome after recovering personal belongings, including sandals and a bag, from the bridge.

The police, in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), are conducting extensive search operations along the river to locate the missing family. Despite relentless efforts, neither the woman nor her children have been found thus far.

Sources disclosed that the family hails from Maharashtra, and the woman’s husband is an Indian Army jawan currently stationed in Silapathar, Assam. The incident occurred while the mother and her children were returning home after visiting him.
