Exciting News: East Coast Railway’s Special Dasara Season Trains from Visakhapatnam to Chennai & Kollam – Don’t Miss Out!
To address the surge in passenger traffic during the Dasara puja season, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced several special trains from Visakhapatnam. Notably, Train no. 08557 Visakhapatnam-Chennai Egmore Puja special will operate from September 7 to November 30, departing Visakhapatnam at 7 p.m. on Saturdays and arriving in Chennai Egmore at 8:45 a.m. the following day. The return service, Train no. 08558, will leave Chennai Egmore at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays from September 8 to December 1, reaching Visakhapatnam at 11:35 p.m. the same day. Key stops include Duvvada, Anakapalli, Elamanchili, and several others, with a diverse composition of 1st and 2nd AC, sleeper classes, and general coaches.
Additionally, the 08579/80 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad weekly special has been extended to handle festival season demand. Running from September 4 to November 27, Train no. 08579 departs Visakhapatnam at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, arriving in Secunderabad at 9:05 a.m. the next day. The return trip, Train no. 08580, leaves Secunderabad at 7:40 p.m. on Thursdays from September 5 to November 28, and arrives in Visakhapatnam at 9:15 a.m. the following day.
Similarly, Train no. 08583 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati special will leave Visakhapatnam at 7 p.m. on Mondays from September 2 to November 25, reaching Tirupati at 9:15 a.m. the next day. The return trip, Train no. 08584, will depart Tirupati at 9:55 p.m. on Tuesdays from September 3 to November 26, arriving in Visakhapatnam at 10:15 a.m. the next day.
Lastly, Train no. 08539 Visakhapatnam-Kollam special express will run from September 4 to November 27, departing Visakhapatnam at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesdays and arriving in Kollam at 12:55 p.m. the next day. The return, Train no. 08540, will leave Kollam at 7:35 p.m. on Thursdays from September 5 to November 28, reaching Visakhapatnam at 11:20 p.m. on Fridays.
