The task forces will be led by Md Jabed Arman, ADM for Tinsukia and Doomdooma Revenue Circles, Parikshit Thoudam for Margherita Revenue Circle, and Manas Jyoti Nath for Sadiya Revenue Circle. Additionally, all officers in charge (OC) and in-charge officers (IC) of the respective police stations/outposts will be part of these task forces.
According to the magistrate’s order, most incidents were isolated brawls unrelated to community, class, or language differences. However, some individuals have attempted to escalate these incidents by forcefully shutting down shops and establishments, violating fundamental rights. Paul emphasized that such misrepresentation of facts and coercive actions would not be tolerated in Tinsukia.
The order also mentioned that any person involved in these activities would face legal actions under the appropriate provisions of BNSS & BNS.
