Shocking Heist Attempt: Woman Charged in Bold Plot to Steal Elvis Presley’s Beloved Graceland
A Missouri woman, Lisa Jeanine Findley, faces charges of mail fraud and aggravated identity theft after allegedly attempting to seize the iconic Graceland estate from the Presley family. The Department of Justice claims Findley created fake documents to suggest that Lisa Marie Presley had pledged to sell the property to settle debts. If found guilty, she faces up to 20 years in prison for mail fraud and at least two years for identity theft.
Findley, 53, allegedly used numerous aliases—including Lisa Holden and Gregory Naussany—and even invented a fake company, Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC. She purportedly concocted a story that Lisa Marie Presley borrowed $3.8 million from this company in 2018, using Graceland as collateral, and published a fake foreclosure notice in Memphis to further the scam. To support her claims, Findley is accused of forging Lisa Marie’s signature and fabricating several legal documents.
The alleged scheme came to light when Findley attempted to blame a Nigerian scammer for concocting the plot. However, both the Presley family and investigators saw through the ruse. U.S. Attorney Kevin G. Ritz emphasized Graceland’s cultural significance and vowed to protect homeowners from such fraud. FBI Special Agent Joseph E. Carrico highlighted the extensive investigation that led to the charges, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to combating identity theft and fraud.
Prior to Findley’s arrest, Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s daughter, had already filed a lawsuit disputing Naussany’s claims, leading to a judge delaying the foreclosure auction. It was revealed that the notary whose signature was on the alleged deed of trust had denied notarizing the document, casting further doubt on its legitimacy.
The Presley family’s representatives remain silent amid the scandal, while authorities continue to unravel the bold attempt to claim ownership of Graceland.
