Urgent Warning: Salman Khurshid’s Grave Alert on India Facing Bangladesh-Like Chaos Ignites BJP’s Fury
Last Updated: August 07, 2024, 11:44 IST
Congress leader Salman Khurshid hinted on Tuesday at potential anti-government protests in India similar to those in Bangladesh, despite a facade of normalcy. BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused the Congress party of inciting violence and undermining India’s democratic institutions, responding sharply to Khurshid’s remarks.
Poonawalla condemned Khurshid and the Congress party, suggesting their animosity towards Prime Minister Modi translates into a hatred for India itself. Reflecting on previous accusations like “Vote Jihad,” Poonawalla questioned whether Khurshid was inciting violence in India and targeting Hindus. He contended this behavior was an attempt to place political strategy above national interest and demanded Congress take action against Khurshid.
Khurshid had remarked that although outward appearances in regions like Kashmir might seem normal, underlying tensions could erupt, similar to recent events in Bangladesh. He suggested that the vastness of India has so far prevented such explosions.
Congress leaders reacted differently to Khurshid’s comments. Shashi Tharoor declined to comment, stating, “I don’t want to react to it.”
